Following the launch of its KaiVac 1750 No-Touch cleaning system at last year’s Cleantex Cleaning Expo, held from June 12 to 14, cleaning solutions provider Goscor Cleaning Equipment says the system has since been taken up by the top five contract cleaning service providers in the country.

The contract cleaning service providers work predominantly with building management and maintenance firms, but also include the ablution facilities, kitchens and back-of-house operations of large industrial clients and mines.

The KaiVac 1750 hosts a three-stage vacuum motor and a fast-swop black box engine compartment for easy repair and maintenance access. It also includes a

500 psi pump, which is used to apply chemicals and pressure spray when cleaning.

The unit holds two 64 ℓ tanks, one for clean water and the other for dirty water. It is easily manoeuvrable, facilitated by large plastic wheels and an upright design, which allows for a small footprint. The 10-m-long spray hose and 20-m-long vacuum hose make it easier to reach areas that are smaller and less accessible.

The cleaning system consists of a high and low pressure hose system, a grout brush, a floor brush with a double-row squeegee head, as well as a lightweight aluminium vacuum wand and a long-range vacuum hose.

The KaiVac 1750 also saves on chemical costs, and helps to maintain concrete and floor surfaces by using less chemicals and decreasing grease and dirt build-up. It also aids in pest control and increases safety when working in environments where oils and liquids can contribute to worker injuries.

The system can also be used to clean ablution facilities, showers, walls, taps, shower heads and toilet fixtures as well as kitchens.

Being a no-touch cleaning system – the user does not come into direct contact with the dirty surface – the KaiVac 1750 is more hygienic than the traditional mop and bucket system, and can pick up 60 times more bacteria than when conventional methods are used, making it safer for the operator.

“Mops and buckets have just about become obsolete, and rightly so, as mops are more likely to spread contamination from the mop being dipped in the dirty water continuously,” says Goscor KaiVac product specialist and sales export manager George Jolly.

“The KaiVac 1750 is a single-platform cleaning machine that saves money and time for any industrial cleaning project,” he concludes.
