Life sciences group and nutraceutical manufacturer Go Life International listed on the AltX board of the JSE on Wednesday, with shares opening at 50c.

This follows the acquisition earlier this year of the remaining 78% interest in Go Life Health Products, which holds Gotha Health Products.

It is the company’s second listing, having listed on the Mauritius Stock Exchange in 2011.

Speaking at the listing at the JSE, CEO Gerhard Naude said the listing affords international investors a chance to invest in the company.

“Our inward listing on the JSE will give South African investors the chance to participate in the roll-out of the company from the Eastern Cape, where it managed to capture 14% of the market share,” he said.

He added that the company recently acquired four frail care facilities, which has increased the company’s net asset value to R90-million.

Naude noted that the nutraceutical industry was one of the fastest-growing markets in the world.

“It is estimated that the nutraceutical industry will be worth R500-billion in 2018, increasing every year by 10%,” he said.
Go Life South Africa reported revenues of more than R10-million for the year ended February 29. This is targeted to double by February 2017 and exceed R50-million by February 2018.
