Global Voice Group  (0.03 MB)

Global Voice Group is proud to announce its participation as sponsor, exhibitor and speaker, in the Africa Telecom People 2013 (ATP), which is a major annual meeting of francophone Africa's telecoms.

Every year for the past decade, the ATP has gathered the main actors of telecommunications sector in francophone Africa. This high-level unifying event purports to be an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs, regulators and government stakeholders to meet and exchange views and information. With the always eagerly awaited presentation of the ATP Awards, the ATP also aims to highlight the exceptional contribution of the sector's African actors who have stood out in many different areas: innovation, initiative, entrepreneurship, development, etc.

Some 5,000 visitors and more than 500 telecoms professionals are expected to attend this event which will be held, for the third consecutive year, in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, from 1st to 2nd October 2013. The organizers have also confirmed the participation of several very high-level stakeholders, including Dr. Hamadoun Toure, Secretary General of the International Telecommunications Union.

This year, the ATP will invite all participants to discuss a hot topic, which can be approached in different ways: What are the innovative applications for Africa after 3G?

For GVG, this question is highly relevant in the current context, whether it is from the point of view of the African entrepreneurs who seek to maintain and enhance their competitiveness or from the point of view of the regulatory authorities that wish to provide a framework that is both stimulating, collaborative and strong in the fast-changing world of telecommunications.
