Global BusinessCase  (0.01 MB)

Global BusinessCase, a Johannesburg based technology company has delivered the first tranche of a large order of custom made mobile office briefcases to a leading insurance company to enable the selling and administration of financial and insurance products in rural and out-of-office environments.

The BusinessCases cases resulted from a brief which required a lightweight, robust office-in-a-box with sufficient battery power to last several days without recharge, and containing all necessary tools to meet legal requirements for transactions of this sort.

The final case, in a high strength polypropylene enclosure weighs 8Kg and includes a 6GB laptop, thermal printer, scanner, finger print reader, signature pad, web cam and smart card reader/writer, with 3G modem to permit real time transactions and allow the client to retain a printed and signed copy of any agreement.

BusinessCase representative Michael Hook believes the product has applications in other financial sectors, and in the fields of visa processing, data capture, census and voting and of course general banking.
