JSE-listed SA retail real estate investment trust (REIT) Vukile Property Fund has acquired a substantial section of Giuricich Bros Construction’s new premium-grade offices at 104 Oxford Road, Rosebank.

Giuricich, the leading South African family-owned construction firm, began work on the 6,400sqm office block development in September 2017 and is set for completion by year end.

Vukile has invested in 1,500sqm of sectional title offices, comprising the entire top floor of the five-floor building as well as its rooftop gym and entertainment area. Vukile will begin working from its landmark new address from early 2019.

Adrian Faccio of Giuricich says, “As a leading listed property company with international assets, Vukile knows exactly what makes an excellent head office location and offers great value. We are thrilled that they chose our 104 Oxford Road development for their new headquarters.”

Vukile is well versed in the quality of Giuricich’s buildings. The two have previously collaborated on the regional Springs Mall in Ekurhuleni, constructed by Giuricich and co-owned with Vukile and other partners.

Laurence Rapp, CEO of Vukile Property Fund, says, “As an expanding business with a talented and growing team, we have outgrown our current offices. We value being in the Rosebank area, but required a bigger space that is better suited to our needs. We identified the need for more modern, collaborative and efficient workspace with great amenities. We are delighted that we found this with our long-standing partner Giuricich in prime offices a mere block away from our current premises.”

The office block is located in the rapidly developing financial district of Rosebank, next to the new Sappi head office and in close walking distance to the Standard Bank building, The Zone and other great amenities.

It offers easy access to the Rosebank Gautrain Station, providing a quick link to Joburg, Sandton, Pretoria, OR Tambo International Airport and beyond. It even has a Gautrain bus stop right outside its pedestrian gate. In addition, it is a short drive to the M1 highway, via Glenhove Road.

In line with Giuricich’s ethos of ‘quality above all else’ the prime commercial building boasts a timeless design, top-quality finishes and green features. It also offers both backup water and power.

Giuricich is at the forefront of its industry with a seven-decade track record of delivering development excellence built on the foundation of reliability and responsibility. It has cemented a reputation of adding value and innovation to its projects, which it delivers on time and within budget.

Giuricich’s impressive portfolio of landmark construction projects includes, among others, the 6-Star Green Star SA Office Design certified WWF offices in Johannesburg; expanding Vaal Mall in Vanderbijl Park; redeveloping the iconic Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban; building McDonalds restaurants countrywide; the 20 West Street Capital Hotel building in Sandton; the original BMW head office in Midrand; recent motor dealerships for Mercedes-Benz, KIA and Hyundai; switch-centres for MTN countrywide; and, it was one of the contractors in the original development of well-known shopping centres such as Hyde Park, Fourways Mall, Southgate and Rosebank Mall.

Faccio concludes, “The balance of 104 Oxford Road will form part of the Giuricich’s greater and growing portfolio and we are excited to have helped out Vukile with their new offices.”
