GIBB experts map out solutions at the 2015 Africa Energy Indaba

Company Announcement - “Developing regional power integration will form the backbone to drive down the electricity deficit in Africa,” these are the words of Nishan Rathanlall, GIBB’s energy expert participating in the 2015 Africa Energy Indaba to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre from 17-18 February.

Rathanlall is the Power and Energy Sector Unit Manager for leading consulting engineering firm, GIBB. He will be a panellist alongside renowned energy experts: Dr Latsoucabé Fall (World Energy Council Regional Manager for Africa), Dr Benon M Mutambi (Electricity Regulatory Authority Chief Executive Officer), Musara Beta (Chief Market Analyst) and Professor Dr Karl Rose (Senior Director of Scenarios & Resources), in a discussion on “The Power of Regional Interconnection in Africa” (Panel 7). Rathanlall’s will draw on his experience to cite what is required for Africa to benefit from regional interconnection models. 

The Africa Energy Indaba Panel Discussion 7 will take place tomorrow, 18 February at 10:30.

Also speaking at this year’s Africa Energy Indaba is Linda Cele, GIBB’s Power and Energy sector Business Development Manager. Conference delegates can expect to hear Cele address “Energy - The Challenged African Opportunity” at 13:00 today.
