FTS Boltworld is a distributor of industrial quality fasteners and rivets to the manufacturing, agriculture, construction and retail sectors.

Acquired by Hudaco in June 2018, Boltworld merged with the FTS business within Rutherford to offer a fully comprehensive fastener range. The Boltworld operation relocated from Brakpan in November 2018 and is now located within
the Rutherford premises at 36 Fortune Street, City Deep Industrial Park, Johannesburg. The move has enabled a smoother operation between the divisions and a pooling of over 200 years of collective experience in the fastener industry.

FTS Boltworld offers a complete range of standard fasteners, including:

  • hexagon bolts and set screws in various materials and grades
  • cap screws
  • nuts and washers
  • plough bolts
  • imperial fasteners
  • machine screws
  • blind, coloured and stainless steel rivets
  • riveting tools
  • tek screws and self-tapping screws
  • fasteners manufactured to client specifications

In addition, FTS Boltworld is the largest importer and distributor of blind rivets to all sectors of the industry and stocks a complete range of riveting tools.

FTS Boltworld is a division of Rutherford, a member of the Hudaco Group. Established in 1912, Rutherford employs about 300 staff and is a level three black economic-empowerment company. The company is ISO 9001:2015 accredited and, under Hudaco, is a member of the Southern Africa Stainless Steel Development Association, or SASSDA. All Rutherford products are distributed through its branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Klerksdorp.

FTS Boltworld is committed to offering customers the best possible technical support and customer service and can assist with any technical design to suit customers’ requirements.
