The new organisation is to be headed by resin flooring specialist Ian Harrison.
The new facility is strategically located in Pinetown, Durban, with good access to in-country and export markets, which will include other African countries and the Middle East, specifically, Dubai.
The company will continue to work with its approved licensed applicators who, over the last three years, have successfully installed a range of Flowcrete flooring products in-country.
These products have found a substantial market in the chemical, industrial, and process industries, particularly in the sugar sector.
The new set-up will offer faster turnaround and on-the-ground expertise for customers with requirements across the range of Flowcrete’s polyurethane and epoxy resin systems.
These systems have applications in a broad cross-section of industry sectors, including food processing and pharmaceuticals, residential and commercial development, car park structures, airports, military installations, and in corrosion protection.
Flowcrete is the world’s largest specialist flooring company outside the US, with an annual installed turnover of some $265-million.
The Flowcrete Group is the market leader in a complete range of floorzone solutions, including industrial flooring, seamless terrazzo flooring, specialist floor screeds, corrosion protection and car park decking systems.
