Car manufacturer Rolls Royce unveiled its Wraith Inspired by Fashion vehicle last month at logistics company Bidvest Panalpina Logistics’ (BPL’s) premises, adjacent to OR Tambo International Airport, in Johannesburg.
Rolls Royce brand manager Pedro Carneiro pointed out at the event that the company launched its Inspired by range, which includes a film and music variant, last year, owing to the popularity of the Wraith, which was launched in 2013.
He explained that South Africa had received one of each of the Inspired by Wraiths, each valued at about R9-million, to be sold to in the African market.
The Inspired by Music Wraith was sold to a customer in Mozambique and the Inspired by Film Wraith to a customer in Zimbabwe, while the Inspired by Fashion Wraith will be transported by road to a customer in Zimbabwe by the end of this month.
Meanwhile, BPL FD Paul Dalla Torre explained at the event that the company arranged the transport of the vehicles from the UK to South Africa and attended to the customs clearing formalities.
“Our business is to help importers and expor- ters move cargo into and out of South Africa, as well as offering local warehousing and transport solutions,” Torre noted, adding that modes of transport include sea, air and road freight services to customers such as Rolls Royce.
