SAPICS  (0.02 MB)

SAPICS, a professional knowledge-based association for the supply chain community across Africa at its latest annual general meeting, recently appointed new members to its board, ensuring that senior supply chain professionals with a wealth of experience continue to guide the organisation’s member-centred activities and exciting future plans.

While Mungo Park was re-elected as President of SAPICS, two new directors – Sorab Mullan and Tracy Cheetham – were appointed to the board. Park’s twenty year career makes him a leading light in the profession, driving supply chain improvement, education and knowledge sharing across Africa.

Mullan has 18 years of international sales and marketing experience across countries including South Africa, India, United Kingdom and Europe, and represents one of the world’s leading supply chain and distribution organisations in a leadership role for the EMEA region.

Cheetham is now based in Florida, USA, and brings her experience as a past-president of SAPICS as well as her international perspectives.

Board members that continue in their positions are Keabetswe Mpane, Clayton Thomas, Richard Dos Santos, Colin Seftel and Ralton Moses. Mpane is Head of Logistics and Distribution at Transnet Engineering, and serves on several Boards of Trustees.

Thomas is a director of Industrial Logistic Solutions and has been involved with the Logistics Achiever Awards and other professional bodies in the industry. Dos Santos is a director of the Centre for Logistics Excellence, and has been involved with SAPICS throughout his professional career. Seftel re-joined the SAPICS board recently, having served from 2009 to 2012 before accepting a seat on the APICS Board from 2103 to 2015.

APICS is the premier professional association for supply chain management. As Operations Director at DSV Healthcare, Moses has 20 years with the organisation and is now completing a PhD in the pharmaceutical distribution space.
