State-owned power utility Eskom has announced the executives that are tasked with implementing the embattled parastatal’s turnaround strategy.

CEO Brian Molefe this week confirmed the acting roles of some of Eskom’s executive committee and announced new appointments to stabilise and strengthen Eskom’s leadership.

Former Transnet CFO Anoj Singh has been confirmed Eskom CFO after assuming the position in an acting capacity since August.

Abram Masango was officially appointed group capital executive, where he had been operating in an acting capacity since March, while Thava Govender remained group executive for transmission.

Former group executive for commercial and technology Matshela Koko was appointed group executive for generation, replacing Mongezi Ntsokolo, who moved on to become group executive for distribution.

Ayanda Noah, who was previously the responsible executive for distribution and customer services, was selected as group executive for customer services.

Elsie Pule remained acting group executive for human resources.

Meanwhile, former acting divisional executive in the office of the CEO Freddy Ndou was appointed divisional executive for strategy support, while retired Brigadier General Tebogo Rakau was appointed divisional executive for security.

Suzanne Daniels would assume the role of company secretary.
