Further, the 69th annual Imesa conference - taking place in Port Elizabeth on October 18-25 - will provide the ideal platform from which to forge closer ties, Imesa President Tjaart van der Walt said.
The conference, with the theme 'Integrated engineering management in a changing environment', will examine the need for an innovative and integrated approach to the provision and maintenance of sustainable municipal services by local authorities.
Imesa said that the organisers are actively encouraging nonmembers - such as local government representatives and politicians, consulting engineers, town planners, architects, relevant businesses and funding agencies - to attend the conference.
