Summertime on the African continent means soaring temperatures, thirsty radiators and overheating engines.

However, with Engen Petroleum’s summer promotion*, customers across sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands will receive a free 1-litre Readymix Coolant with every 5-litre pack of any Engen Motor oil purchased.

From 1 November 2015 to 31 March 2016*, motorists will be able to take advantage of this offer at Engen service stations and selected resellers*. It gives consumers the chance to experience the benefits of the Readymix Coolant first-hand.

These include:

  • Optimal protection against heat in summer – and at the other extreme, temperatures down to -10 degrees in winter;
  • Convenience – Readymix comes pre-diluted with de-mineralised water;
  • Additional protection against rust and corrosion of all cooling system metals and alloys;
  • One-year drain intervals – offering quality and cost-effectiveness as an entry-level coolant meaning more value for your money;
  • And a one-year protection guarantee.

Readymix coolant is available in 1 litre, 5 litres, 210 litres and 1000 litres packs. According to Drikus Kotze, Engen General Manager: International Business Division, the coolant can be mixed with most other conventional coolants and is suitable for all water-cooled petrol and diesel engines.

“Motorists using it should drain their cooling systems completely and flush with clean water for optimum performance, before filling with a fresh charge of Readymix,” advises Kotze.

* Engen Petroleum’s summer promotion is available in the following countries from 1 November 2015**:

  • Botswana
  • Rwanda
  • DRC
  • Tanzania
  • Malawi

The summer promotion will be available later in November in the following countries:
