The team of Engen Swaziland are smiling. This comes after the company were named ‘Supplier of the Year’ by Swaziland Railways. “To be recognised by Swaziland Railways, one of our largest customers is no small feat.

It goes to show that we always go the extra mile to satisfy our customers and ensure that 'With us you are Number One,’ " says Bongani Zwane, Engen’s Manager of Commercial Fuels in Swaziland.

Engen supplies an average of 6,000kl of diesel per annum to Swaziland Railways. “We always ensure their tanks are full. Queries are resolved promptly and customer service is given our full attention,” adds Zwane.

Engen has supplied and delivered fuel services and has met the volume demands required by Swaziland Railways for a number of years.

The parastatal is widely regarded to operate one of the best railways in SADC in terms of transit time, reliability and predictability. Swazi Railways operates a 301km rail network and owns and maintains the infrastructure and rolling stock.

“Engen is firmly committed to always putting our customers first, in everything we do. It is this commitment that has allowed us to grow into one of the leading petroleum companies across sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, with operations in 18 countries in the region,” says Joe Mahlo, General Manager: Engen Sales and Marketing.

Two Engen Swaziland team members - Banele Cindzi and Thandeka Nkomo - were on hand to receive the prize presented to them at the Royal Villas at eZulwini on 4 November 2015. At the event, five categories aimed at affirming business excellence were awarded to various business partners and staff to the value of SZL30 000 (or approximately $2,130).
