Blessing Petroleum, the official Cameroonian lubricants distributor for African energy company Engen, has opened its 11th service station in the country, bringing quality Engen automotive oils to the Western region for the first time.

Blessing’s MD Paul Dengoue says Yapaki Service Station, situated in Dibombari on national road number 5, west of Douala, has been open for two months, offering drivers on their way out of the city, convenient 24-hour refuelling as well as engine services and oil changes between 06h00 and 19h00.

All-round product and service
Dengoue says, “We started our business in 2010 and a year later we had opened four stations, over the past two years we have grown our network to 11 stations.  There is no doubt that the petroleum industry in Cameroon is showing signs of growth.   With the brand new site we will meet an increasing need in the region for a full range of quality lubricants for passenger cars, trucks, transit vans and motorcycles”.

In addition to automotive oils, Blessing Petroleum will also market Engen’s universal tractor oils, gear and transmission oils, industrial oils, marine oils, greases, and utility products such as brake fluids.

Advanced know-how for Africa
Engen manufactures and markets a wide range of automotive and industrial lubricants.

Kamil de Villiers, Engen Lubricants Manager (International Business Development), says the Blessing Petroleum retail expansion is in line with Engen lubricants growth plans in Cameroon.

Dengoue added that there were plans to open 20 service stations by the end of 2015.

In addition, Engen has gathered extensive regional know-how in the development of product lines that can withstand harsh African operating conditions.

Performance
“We trust that with their support, Cameroon’s drivers will experience the benefit of long engine life, long service intervals and excellent performance under often trying African conditions.”
