Engen, South Africa’s leading petroleum brand*, and partners SuperSport United continue to give back to local communities.  On Thursday, 29 September 2016 they will be hosting a coaching clinic for 90 children at the Umbilo Secondary School in Wentworth, Durban.

At the clinic South African football legend and official SuperSport United football ambassador Jabu Mahlangu will address the school’s pupils, encouraging them to pursue their dreams academically as well as on the sports field.

The school will also be presented with football equipment by a representative of Engen and Mahlangu. Brad Bergh, Engen’s Group Sponsorship Manager, says the visit to the school underlines Engen’s commitment to providing a platform for these youngsters to improve on their present skill set in the sport. “We believe that by equipping Umbilo Secondary School with modern football training equipment we will see it one-day produce players who participate in the prestigious Engen Knockout Challenge. As a company Engen is delighted to be a part of the development of football players at grassroots level.”

Add Bergh: “Engen’s cares about the communities in which it operates and strongly believes in the power of football to uplift and inspire the youth of South Durban.”
