Engen and football partners SuperSport United inspires youth in Cape Town

Engen, South Africa’s leading petroleum brand*, and partners SuperSport United continue to inspire youth at grassroots level by hosting a coaching clinic for local children at Belgravia High School, Athlone, Cape Town on Friday 13 April 2018.
The coaching clinic starts at 11h00 at the school.
SuperSport United Academy coaches will lead the Matsatsantsa delegation during the coaching clinics.
At the clinic, South African football legend and official SuperSport United football ambassador Thabo September will address the participants encouraging them to pursue their dreams academically as well as on the sports field.
Football coaches from amongst schools in the area are encouraged to attend the coaching clinic and engage with the SuperSport coaches about aspects relating to coaching techniques and the development of young players.
Engen representative Hayley Hugo, says the visit to the local community in Cape Town underlines Engen’s commitment to providing a platform for these youngsters to improve on their present skill set in the sport.
“Engen’s cares about the communities in which it operates and strongly believes in the power of football to uplift and inspire the youth of Cape Town.
Added Hugo, “We believe that by providing skills development for the local community we will see it one-day produce players who participate in the prestigious Engen Knockout Challenge. As a company Engen is delighted to be a part of the development of football players at grassroots level.”
