Mobile World Congress Revisited Roadshow  (0.03 MB)

As one of the world’s renowned innovation leaders Nokia will host a local Mobile World Congress Revisited Roadshow in Johannesburg. Nokia will be showcasing the telecom operators how they can tap its latest innovations to provide world-class ultra-fast broadband services with highly secured mobile as well as fixed broadband networks. Additionally, it also shows how operators can take advantage of its innovations in meeting increased Ultra Broadband demands and in preparing for a digital era and shares with customers its next generation technology and services for an IP connected world.

Taking place on July 26th and for two days, Nokia, as the newly combined company with Alcatel-Lucent, together, is presenting the capabilities and global scale to meet the extraordinary demands and opportunities of a world where everyone and everything are increasingly connected and uniquely positioned to create new types of networks that are intelligent, efficient, and secure.

We will be demonstrating and discussing Wireless Evolution, aSecurity and Public Safety, IoT Brought to Life, Networks for the Cloud Era, Leading in 5G, Game Changing Optics, Unparalleled xTTx and IP without Boundaries.

In our recent 2016 Nokia Acquisition and Retention study indicators show that South African consumers are looking to access data, voice and video across networks of all kinds. With 34%, Cost & Billing representing the biggest overall impact on customer retention in South Africa; Network Quality (26%) and Customer Care (27%) carry a similar level of importance; Internet Quality is the most important variable for Network Quality and Request & Complaint Handling for Customer Care. Nokia sees that it is in this environment that technology needs to work well together, as network quality has consistently been the number one reason for choosing a network. As a global leader that connects people and things, Nokia is even better placed to assist in meeting these consumer demands with its broadest technology portfolio in the industry, and acknowledgement by market intelligence provider current Analysis, as the No.1 vendor for the delivery of technologies "beyond 4G" in a study compiled of 100 service provider executives around the globe.

Deon Geyser, Head of Market Unit South Africa and Vodafone, says: “At Nokia, we’ve always been thrilled about technology and where technology will lead us. Our business has evolved to adapt to a changing world for over a century, but with the same true business values. Our vision is to expand the human possibilities of the connected world. Today, we’re shaping a new revolution in how people, businesses, and services connect with each other, creating new opportunities for our customers, partners, and communities.”
