Boogertman + Partners diversity in skills permeates various spheres of life: where we live, where we work, where we unwind and engage with others. From spaces where communities congregate to numerous: retail, industrial, healthcare, residential and commercial developments.
The company offers its existing and potential clients design diversity with a team approach to all of its projects. Boogertman + Partners have thirty years of experience in almost all building typologies and combine this expertise with young architects with strong conceptual ideas. By combining these aspects the practice produces innovative solutions and architecture that moves the country forward. By penetrating into these carious markets Boogertman + Partners are able to offer their clients not only skill sets in specific building types, but also an approach that is informed by a knowledge of other sectors that clearly influence each other.
Boogertman + Partners is one of only a handful of companies in South Africa that fully embraces holistic interpretations in this regard and is equally willing to offer support to small businesses in the industry.

Responsible design solutions
When anticipating the direct impact of a project, architects often consider a subtle trade-off between aesthetic aspirations and environmental responsibility.

By adopting a more refined understanding of this relationship, Boogertman + Partners has developed a holistic approach that encompasses all design concerns. The company has invested in excess of 30 years thereby validating themselves as one of the most innovative architecture companies in South Africa.

With support from a vibrant and creative Interior Design Department, the company can provide a universal interpretation to architecture, where the smallest part conveys the truth of the whole. The philosophy is concise yet effective.

Architectural projects are intimately tied to their locations, and success depends on a binding narrative, resilient concepts and the formal expression of an ethos or cultural insight. Counted amongst the company’s proudest moments was the completion of FNB Stadium (Soccer City) who could forget the first 2010 FIFA World Cup to be held on African soil? This may be regarded as one of the company’s most prestigious achievements, having received both local and international recognition.

As a founding member of the Green Building Council of South Africa, the company has always actively supported the cause for environmental sustainability as it relates to the international property industry.
The company undertakes projects that align with these values, such as Menlyn Maine - South Africa’s “First Green City” precinct in Pretoria, as well as other developments awarded with the coveted four-star green star status.

Expanding their expertise into the African continent and the Medical Industry
This prominent South African based architectural firm has recently expanded this leading brand in to Africa. The decision to open an office in Kenya is to provide this expanding and growing International market with the design skills and technical expertise that is synonymous with the practice. The international office is focused on the opportunities arising from the 5–10% growth in African economies. Boogertman + Partners currently has on-going projects of varying scales in Kenya, Botswana and Zambia, with recently completed projects in Egypt and Sudan, as well as design proposals in Libya, Namibia, Ghana and Uganda.

In recent developments, Boogertman + Partners joined forces with Geyser Hahn Architects to create a unique service in the healthcare industry. Boogertman + Partners, rated number one in Africa, provides a large practice capacity to the highly specialised services offered by Geyser Hahn Architects. Together this association will create a strong alliance of expertise and capacity, enabling unrivalled service excellence in the healthcare industry. Already shortlisted for two University Health Science campuses, one in South Africa and one in Kenya the company are expecting several new projects in the private sector, ranging from small alteration to a new 200 bed hospital in Soweto.

Focusing on local Enterprise Development
Despite this growth, Boogertman + Partners remain determined to meet another ethical responsibility by offering support to the local construction industry.

After dominating South Africa’s architectural landscape for more than three decades, Boogertman is in a unique position to guide small businesses and make a significant contribution to local economic development.
By establishing a comprehensive Enterprise Development (ED) programme, the company offers entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to make their mark.

The Boogertman ED Programme was developed in 2011 as a response to the difficulties faced by small business owners in the construction industry. In particular, entrepreneurs are often thrown into challenging environments without access to mentors or professional guidance.
Through assessments based on strict performance indicators, Boogertman selected five architecture and engineering companies for the programme: Cassidy Solutions, TM Khoza, DDA Architects, DB Architectural Services and Tuclin Engineering.

The programme offers consultations and advice regarding business growth and operations, including providing access to a 24-hour support line. Whether guidance is needed about sales and marketing opportunities, financial or legal processes, or conducting needs analyses and strategising, The Boogertman ED Programme provides continuous support.
