An electric engraver can be used to engrave words, designs, patterns or other types of art on a range of materials and objects.

The engraver can be used to personalise or label belongings such as tools, school equipment, toys, key rings, name badges and jewellery. It can be used on materials such as metal, glass, wood, plastics, ceramic, stone and leather.

Vermont Sales states that its decision to distribute the Tork Craft Electric Engraver is based on demand from do-it-yourself enthusiasts, hobbyists, gift shops and numerous requests from customers seeking to brand and identify goods and products.

The tool features a stroke adjustment dial that allows for the engraving of fine lines or deep grooves. The engraver is considered to be lightweight and has an ergonomically-designed soft coated housing aimed at providing comfortable handling and control, allowing the user to work on both hard and soft materials.

The 13 W tool runs at up to 7 200 rpm and is said to be vibration free. The kit includes an engraving tool, an electrical cord and a tungsten carbide tip, with additional tips available to purchase.  A letter and number stencil, a shape symbol stencil and an operator’s manual are also included.
