ELB Engineering Services (Pty) Ltd (ELB), is pleased to announce that Josh Hodgkinson has been appointed as Implementation Engineer – ELB Intelligent Solutions (EIS), to help drive the business into the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Josh has work experience in over 12 different countries, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering, specialising in Mechatronics, and a wealth of hands on design and development exposure in FMCG, consumer electronics, access control and automation industries.

His career has involved training international industry leaders in the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to improve FMCG quality and output. He developed Africa’s first dual vacuum conveyor system to enable 360 degree in line vision inspection of injection moulded parts. At Centurion Systems, he created a tool for system integrators to install motors with improved accuracy and speed – a product of which is used in all Centurion Systems motors globally.

From an IoT perspective, Josh tends to use his spare time developing home automation solutions whether it be controlling his house functions from his cell phone or 3D printing a new light fixture for his lounge, he seems to always think outside the box and should be a perfect fit for EIS.
