Power management solutions provider Eaton has signed a distribution partnership agreement with technical solutions provider and engineering consumables and components distributor Bearing Man Group (BMG), whereby BMG will be responsible for the distribution of Eaton’s range of conveyor solutions across sub-Saharan Africa.

The deal was signed at BMG’s head office, in Johannesburg, last month. Under the terms of the agreement, BMG will distribute Eaton’s conveyor safety switches with all corresponding accessories to provide complete conveyor solutions.

The agreement demonstrates Eaton’s continued commitment to providing access for customers across the continent while investing in its partner ecosystem, according to the company.

“BMG has a large distribution network, with more than 130 branches across Africa, and a strong reputation for delivering quality engineering products for more than 40 years. This, together with its local market knowledge, makes BMG the perfect choice as a strategic partner,” explains Eaton Africa regional sales director Malvin Naicker.

He adds that Eaton recognises that such partnerships are vital to extend the company’s product offering into new vertical industries.

While Eaton has a long-standing relationship with BMG through BMG’s hydraulics business, this new agreement will enable access to Eaton’s electrical solutions for customers.

BMG MD Gavin Pelser notes that the additional range of Eaton’s conveyor solutions adds to BMG’s range and completes a basket of solutions-providing products supplied through the company’s extensive distribution network.

“This fits with our Bolt-On strategy to offer customers the full basket . . . , keeping to our commitment of adding value and being part of every process,” Pelser concludes.
