Eaton Launches Mobile Tech Day to Drive Growth in South Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa … Power Management Company Eaton today launched its first ever South Africa Mobile Tech Day, a month long exhibition to showcase the company’s solutions in commercial construction. The Eaton Mobile Tech Day is an innovative concept that combines expert analysis and demonstrative exhibitions to address customers’ power management needs. Seasoned industry specialists and thought leaders travelling the country demonstrating Eaton solutions, which are designed and built for functionality, sustainability and aesthetics.  These industry experts were brought in to discuss business issues face-to-face with long standing and new clients. 

The Eaton Mobile Tech Day launched on Thursday 14 April in Cape Town at the Riverclub Golf Estate. The exhibition will then travel to Pretoria at Kievietskroon on 25 April, Johannesburg at Wanderers Sports Club on 26 April then Birchwood Hotel on 3 May, the Vaal Triangle at Emerald Casino on 4 May, Richards Bay at Richards Bay Hotel on 11 May, Durban at the Gateway Shopping Centre on12 May then conclude in Port Elizabeth at the Humewood Golf Estate.

During this month long event, Eaton will launch the Dumeco DC switch-disconnectors which are industry leading innovations helping solar PV equipment manufacturers and installers gain a competitive edge within the increasing significant solar power market. These innovative products stand alone as cost-effective, reliable and safe solutions; they also integrate efficiently and easily with matched Eaton components into a continuous channel that transports energy safely from the solar module to the power grid.

The Eaton Mobile Tech Day combines an exhibition floor showcasing the company’s power management solutions and products, including the recently launched Hybrid Inverter which is an energy saving and backup power system that allows for continued power during load shedding, alongside technical seminars run by Eaton’s leading experts from Africa and around the globe. These seminars will focus on key issues including safety and mains lighting, energy storage and safety evacuation of buildings in the 130 square meter two-story showroom. The aim is to protect people, assets and reputation for business continuity as well as lower business risk with on-time project execution and expertise.
