Project Description
The East Rand Mall in Boksburg, Gauteng, will be expanded by 7 300 m² from the current 62 516 m².

The proposed extension will include a 4 500 m² Food Lovers Market.

The eastern entrance of the mall will also be repositioned, which will add extra lease areas and result in floors, shop fronts and ceilings also being upgraded.

The parking area will be combined with the adjoining South Africa Corporate Real Estate-owned East Rand Galleria, which is undergoing its own upgrade, resulting in an increased parking ration of 4.2 parking bays per 100 m² gross lettable area.

Value
R300-million. Redefine and Vukile will each spend R153.3-million.

Duration
The project is expected to be completed in October 2015.
