DPE acting DG appointed, with Matona’s Eskom term to begin on Oct 1
Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown confirmed on Wednesday that Tshediso Matona, who has been appointed as the new Eskom CEO, would assume his duties at the State-owned power utility on October 1, 2014.
She also announced that Matsietsi Mokholo had been appointed acting director-general at the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), following the appointment of Matona, who was the department’s previous head.
Mokholo, hitherto the DPE’s deputy director-general for legal and governance, began acting as director-general and accounting officer at the department on September 1, 2014.
Mokholo holds B Proc and LLB Degrees from the then University of Durban-Westville and completed her articles of clerkship at Haarsbroek & Boezaart Attorneys, in Pretoria, while simultaneously attending her practical legal training at the then Law Society of Transvaal.
