Developer Internships On Offer For Puzzle Solvers

Solving the puzzle below will make you eligible for consideration for four internships on offer at leading software development house SMSPortal. That is if you are also one of the select group of third year university Computer Science students in South Africa. During June and July 2016, four 3rd year computer science students (or recent graduates) will have the opportunity to work at SMSPortal's Cape Town offices.
James Pearce, SMSPortal IT Director, says the company specialises in multithreaded, highly-scalable services. If you're potentially the right person for this rockstar opportunity, you'll know what that means. "The internship positions on offer could very well lead to bigger things with SMSPortal. We already have two developers in New York undergoing intensive SQL training with award-winning SQL blogger, Microsoft Certified Master and Microsoft MVP, Brent Ozar," said Mr Pearce. The interns will experience what it’s like to work with the teams responsible for building and maintaining the systems that keep SMSPortal running.
According to a report by the International Data Corporation (IDC), South Africa’s software industry is forecast to see an 11.6% increase in enterprise applications software spending to R11.2 billion by 2017. While research by Gartner shows that South Africa ranks among the world’s top 30 countries for software development and software developers are globally sought after. Joining the ranks as a newly graduated software developer, however, requires experience and real world skill development, which an internship can provide. SMSPortal believes that building a world class team is all about investing in people and creating the best possible environment for creative expression and growth.
“Our biannual internship programme has been a great success and a number of interns have gone on to take up full time employment at SMSPortal,” concluded Mr Pearce.
The internship is paid and also offers free transport to Cape Town and free accommodation near the SMSPortal Century City headquarters.
