DEHN Africa has grown its local team once again, with the appointment of Gerrit Meyer, as its new business development manager for Africa; Steven Weber, as an engineer; and Tatenda Gora, as a sales engineer.
Meyer has a well-developed sales background and extensive work experience of more than 20 years, which includes developing business across the African continent, with previously held roles in sales, marketing communications and management. He has been appointed by DEHN Africa to create a partner distribution channel in sub-Saharan Africa, focussing specifically on Mozambique, Zambia and Kenya.

After acquiring his BEng Electrical Engineering and GCC Mines and Works qualification, Weber developed his work experience as a project engineer. His areas of expertise consist of low voltage electrical engineering, and power and control systems. His role and responsibilities at DEHN Africa include designs for lightning and surge protection, managing technical specifications of equipment and conduct, as well as training for clients and partners.

Skilled in high voltage engineering and electrical design, Gora recently completed his Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Engineering and is a candidate engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), as well as a member of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE). His new role at DEHN Africa requires him to mainly acquire new clients and manage the relationships with the customers.

“DEHN Africa’s mandate is to ensure that we employ the best talent available within the local market. The addition of Gerrit, Steven and Tatenda to our team underlines this promise to our regional clients,”says Kirk Risch, sales and marketing director at DEHN Africa.

The market leader DEHN, a globally active family-owned electrotechnical company with more than 1600 employees worldwide, offers innovative products and solutions as well as comprehensive services in the field of surge protection, lightning protection and safety equipment. DEHN focuses on the protection of system and building technology, the transportation, telecommunication and process sector, photovoltaic systems, wind turbines, etc.

The company's continuous growth is based on more than 100 years of tradition and experience as well as highest quality standards and consistent customer and market orientation throughout the world.
