Mineral exploration and development company Deep-South Resources has entered into an agreement with Namibian drilling contractor Ferrodrill Namibia to proceed with the drilling programme on the Haib copper project, in the south of Namibia.

The contract provides for 5 000 m of diamond drilling at Haib.

The specific focus of the drilling campaign is to drill the high-grade area of the deposit uncovered by Deep-South in 2019. Under the programme it is planned that up to 10 000 m in the area will be drilled.

The first 5 000 m were drilled in 2021. However, the programme was suspended when the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Namibia refused to renew the exploration and prospecting licence.

Following a legal process, the Haib licence was renewed in July this year.

Deep-South's goal is to complete the remaining 5 000 m of drilling and then proceed with a new resource estimation.
