DC Auto-Motion is the official South African and African distributor of Japanese linear and motion control mechanical components manufacturer THK. It also offers THK’s premium linear motion (LM) guide products, which are recognised as the world’s most durable, accurate and rigid linear products.

THK officially announced that it had appointed DC Auto-Motion as Africa’s official THK distributor on the company’s global website in May 2014.

THK manufactures and supplies LM guides, linear bushings, precision and rolled ball screws, precision ball splines, cross roller rings, cross roller guides, LM actuators, LM strokes, slide rails and slide packs, among several other components. DC Auto-Motion started supplying THK LM guide products to the automotive market in September 2013. They now supply virtually every market that requires linear motion solutions.

Established in April 2010, the company has a warehousing facility of 365 m2 at Unit 24, Route 24, Fleming road, Meadowdale, in Germiston. The facility also hosts in-house cutting facilities to cut LM rails, balls screw shafts and LM shafts to customers’ specifications.

All the imported products at DC Auto-Motion are TUV- and ISO 9001-compliant.

In 2013, THK announced the world’s first and only single- length LM rail system at 7000 mm, without any form of matching or joining of linear guide rails.
