JSE-listed Datatec’s Logicalis subsidiary has acquired Australia-based information and communications technology (ICT) services and solutions provider Thomas Duryea for an undisclosed amount.

The group believed the acquisition, to be settled in cash, would enhance Logicalis’ scale and capabilities in the Australian ICT market.

“Thomas Duryea’s professional services capabilities in cloud and data centres are complementary to Logicalis Australia, allowing for a broader portfolio of ICT solutions to market,” explained Datatec CEO Jens Montanana in a statement on Tuesday.

The 15-year old Thomas Duryea had a yearly turnover of about $50-million and 125 employees, with operations in Melbourne and Sydney.
