Dango & Dienenthal SA Pty Ltd (DDSA) started off by means of representation by K. Kling, which became a fully owned subsidiary of E.C. Lenning.  In 1982 the decision was taken to establish DDSA.

SKIMMING TECHNOLOGY
Due to increasing demands in quality of molten and processed material, different metallurgical processes require precise and at the same time fast removal of slag from the surface of metal baths in pig iron ladles, steel ladles, furnaces and other metallurgical vessels. Models available: SAM7,  SAM10,  SAM15,  SAM30,  SAM 40.

FURNACE STOKING AND CHARGING
A mobile machine performs all charging, stoking and distributing functions in a very flexible way. A fully automatic machine performs all charging, stoking and distributing functions in a very systematic pattern and strictly in accordance with requirements of the metallurgical engineer. Further advantages are as follows:
Decreasing energy consumption during furnace operation; Avoidance of damage to furnace door, furnace lining / electrodes
Allows for charge floor safety as the operator is not in the hazardous area.
Compact design and maneuverability allows for unlimited view onto working area; effective heat protection decreases maintenance.
Mobile and Rail bound Charging, Stoking and Distribution options available.

OPEN & CLOSED DIE FORGING MANIPULATORS
Mobile forging manipulators have been designed and built by Dango & Dienenthal for over 70 years. Mobile forging manipulators are suitable for precise handling from very small to very large ingots while forging. In addition to this, they could also be used for transporting the ingots between furnaces and forging presses or hammers. Rail-bound, mobile and transport manipulators available.

SELF-CLEANING FILTERS
Dango & Dienenthal Filtertechnik (DDFT) has been a reliable partner for the filtration of liquids in nearly all ranges of industry for about 70 years.

Our filters are individually dimensioned for the given operating conditions. Our filter systems are currently in use by clients for:

  • Reliable filtration of solids.
  • Trouble free operation.
  • Minimal operation and maintenance costs.

Our automatic and manual filter systems will be beneficial in the following industries:

  • Paper industry.
  • Sewage treatment plants.
  • Chemical industry.
  • Power plants.
  • Plant and engineering.
  • Steel industry.

HOT MATERIAL HANDLING
For decades Dango & Dienenthal (DDS) has been the market leader in the area of forging and handling technology for open die forges, as well as for heavy duty robots and transport manipulators for closed die forges and ring mills.  To expand our footprint Dango & Dienenthal Hollerbach GmbH (DDH) was founded.

Our core business is offering handling systems for automated heat treatment plants with a capacity of up to 80t. The products to be treated may vary in size.  The purpose of heat treatment is as follows:

  • Relieving internal stresses
  • Grain size refinement
  • Improvement in machinability
  • Improvement in ductility

DDH has extensive expertise in creating, designing and planning optimized and automated handling lines.

PIPE BENDING UP TO Ø 1626mm AND WALL THICKNESS UP TO 120mm
Dango & Dienenthal GmbH (DDS) founded Dango and Dienenthal      Umformtechnik GmbH (DDU), engineering and manufacturing machines for cold and hot forming of metal plates, warm forming of pipe (induction pipe bending) as well as other special forming machines, retrofit, modification and service of hydraulic and IHU presses (hydroforming).
Induction pipe bending is a method of forming pipe using mostly automated machines. It is a continuous progressive forming process, whereby a pipe is bent in a narrow heated zone.  The leading end of the pipe is clamped in the pipe locking devise, fitted to the bending arm.
The temperature is increased to a pre-determined value by an inductor ring.  The axial bending force is applied to the pipe by the hydro-mechanically driven clamping stock. During the bending operation the bending arm rotates around its fulcrum to a pre-set bending radius.
The force created makes the pipe follow the pre-determined radius. These machines are designed to bend ferrite and austenitic pipe.  The machines are capable of producing single bends, 2-dimentional “S” and 3-dimentional bends.
Induction bending machines for pipe Ø up to 1626mm and wall thickness of up to 120mm.

The top roll of the four roll plate bending machine is designed to:

  • Absorb forces of up to 4000t
  • Accommodate a maximum plate width of 4000mm
  • Accommodate plate thickness of 145mm / ID of 150mm
  • Plate material yield of 360 N/mm²
  • 3 Roll capabilities also available

TMT TAPPING MEASURING TECHNOLOGY GmbH. HYDRAULIC CLAYGUNS AND TAPHOLE DRILLS
For more than one hundred and fifty years, the names Dango & Dienenthal (DDS) and Paul Wurth (PW) have been renowned for robust and reliable taphole equipment.  The joint venture company, TMT GmbH, combines the expertise of both, DDS and PW, to contribute to the creation of taphole technology for the future.

Dango & Dienenthal SA Pty Ltd (DDSA) is the official licensee for TMT – Tapping Measuring Technology, for the Sub-Saharan and Southern Africa regions. We offer tapping equipment for Non-Ferrous, Ferro-Alloy and Blast Furnace applications. A modern tapping area will include the following from our product range; clayguns, taphole drills, combination tapping and drilling machines, runner cover manipulators, tilting runners and consumables and services.

With TMT’s large product range, the taphole area of existing or new furnaces can be best configured using either standard modular components or custom designed solutions.

DDSA also offers spare parts, consumables, service and maintenance on all our equipment. We also offer 24/7 365 emergency and breakdown assistance.

NEW TO THE DANGO & DIENENTHAL GROUP – DDSA RICHARDS BAY
Dango & Dienenthal GmbH (DDS) recently acquired an 85% share of the Hencon Group. The South African subsidiary
