OTEL Telecoms  (0.02 MB)

OTEL Telecoms' new status as a ZYCOO® approved distributor means it has realtime access to direct technical support from one of the world's leading developers and manufacturers of IP (Internet Protocol) unified communications solutions.

The distributor agreement with independent telecoms provider OTEL is China-based ZYCOO's® most extensive distribution agreement concluded to date in South Africa. "Our commitment to delivering quality IP solutions worldwide means we only partner with distributors who are the best at what they do," said ZYCOO® CEO, Hongzhen Wan.

The company's flagship product that is finding growing favour with South African businesses keen to scale down IP-based voice and data costs without comprising on quality is the CooVox V2. This is a third generation IP PBX that builds on the success of ZYCOO’s previous generation CooVox V1 Series to deliver the most advanced unified communication solution in the market today. The product's focus is on organisations with as few as 5 users, right up to 200 users. It is thus an ideal and cost effective solution that the OTEL reseller channel can target at the SME market, which is where OTEL's current focus lies.

"ZYCOO's hardware range brings a host of new features and functionality to local VoIP clients such as increased concurrency of calls and major upgrades in the underlying Asterisk applications. Under pressure organisations will appreciate the fact that Zycoo offers a high-quality IP telephony solution and market-beating prices," said Rad Jankovic, OTEL CEO. Strengthened security with fail2ban technology complete an extremely compelling telephony offering for small, medium and corporate-sized firms. Zycoo also develops proprietary software such as like CooBill, CooCall and CTMS which are now available on V2.

From a modest operation in 2008, OTEL is today a licensed business-to-business provider of VoIP & broadband Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions. Its nationwide dedicated network and cutting-edge technology positions OTEL as one of South Africa's leading telecoms providers with a specific focus being on needs of the SMME’s. The company's vision is to deliver our brand promise of being always connected to she SMME market at affordable rates through quality links as well as redundancy solutions that has traditionally been the domain of substantially more costly services offered to larger enterprises.

Its wholesale and retail fibre solutions are designed to increase profitability and reduce downtime and include hosted PBX, free email, server hosting, cloud services, as well as full-featured call centre solutions  amongst other value-added voice and data services. Otel in 2016 is currently busy with a number of infrastructure projects which include fibre to business parks and retail malls.
