The Competition Commission would refer a case against Isipani Construction to the Competition Tribunal for its alleged involvement in collusive tendering for the building of the 2010 FIFA World Cup stadia.

This followed an investigation of the firms that did not participate in the Construction Fast Track Settlement process but which were, nonetheless, implicated in cases during the phase two investigations, which ensued after the Construction Fast Track Settlement process.

The Isipani referral would be added to the other cases against firms implicated for the same conduct in the construction sector, that were referred to the Competition Tribunal last week.

These firms included WBHO Construction, Group Five Construction, Murray & Roberts, Stefanutti Stocks Holdings and Basil Read.
