Speciality chemicals supplier and life cycle manager A-Gas South Africa displayed its Rapid Recovery solution and its new Braze-A-Gas products, at this years’ Frigair Exhibition held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand last month.

The Frigair Exhibition currently represents Africa’s largest heating, energy, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration exhibition. This year’s exhibition was sold out, according to organisers and boasted 140 exhibitors representing both the local and international heating, energy, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry.

With A-Gas South Africa – currently celebrating 25 years as a market leader in the supply and life cycle management of refrigerant and service gases across various industries – Frigair 2018 represented “the perfect platform to keep the company’s existing and future clients up to date with regulations, refrigerant trends, and the current products and services that it provides”, notes A-Gas sales manager Michael Labacher.

“A-Gas South Africa prides itself on going that extra mile in all aspects. “This year we ensured our stand echoes this. It was both welcoming and inviting to those attending. We also used our stand to capture our vison for our new Rapid Recovery service, and the launch of our new Braze-A-Gas product,” Labacher reveals.

He states that Rapid Recovery is a complete refrigerant-recovery solution with unmatched recovery speeds. “There are many other benefits this service offers to our clients, one of them being a refrigerant buy-back programme.” A Rapid Recovery vehicle was on display on the outdoor stand, with refrigerant experts on hand that discussed the technical aspects of the service.

The new Braze-A-Gas products were unveiled at Frigair 2018 and are used for the brazing of copper tubes, as well as for welding and cutting. “Here we have ensured that the cylinders are easy to handle, with our standard cylinder valves allowing the use of standard regulators,” Labacher adds.

He points out that customer relations are the backbone of the company. “With many of our clients relying heavily on our services and products to keep their businesses operational, we ensure we know our clients and their needs in detail. With this approach and ethos, we have succeeded in maintaining many lucrative long-term relationships with clients over the years.

“Owing to A-Gas being the leading global distributor of refrigerants, we have access to various markets, and also understand the trends and uses of refrigerants. With this knowledge in hand, we believe we can assist the South African market on the best way forward.”

Visitors to the A-Gas South Africa stand were met with on-hand sales expertise on the full product range, a detailed road map of future refrigerant trends, and first-hand exposure to the newly launched products and services.

“Our aim was to promote new refrigerant alternatives, products, and our refrigerant recovery service in order to assist the market and end-users to be compliant with local legislation, which requires refrigerants to be recovered and not vented.”
