Auctions for the Engineering Industry kick off this year with Winterstein and Henderson’s Civil Engineering Auction on Wednesday 8 February at 10h30 in Modderfontein, followed the very next day by their second auction for the industry focused on new industrial machinery, also at 10h30, but at their premises in Linbro Park.

Mathew Henderson comments that: “we’ve specifically kept the two auctions on consecutive days for the convenience of our buyers coming in from around the country. We’ve had such a good response from the industry and feel that both large and small engineering companies will find something worthwhile over these two days.”

The first auction arises from the liquidation of the Fabrication Services and Plant Maintenance cc. and the highlight of what will be under the hammer includes a 170 ton x 4m Press Brake, a 13mm x 3.2 m Elga Guillotine and a massive quantity of steel and scrap metal.

With regards to the New Machinery Auction on the 9th, the main highlight is the 6 x Baoji Gap Bed Lathes (with a swing of 660mm and a 2m bed) up for grabs, not to mention an array of woodworking machinery, waste balers and factory related equipment.

Also worth looking out for is the complete sandblasting facility, something that, with the growing environmental regulations and increased environmental awareness amongst professionals is a must for anyone wanting to move forward in the industry.

Smaller and growing engineering firms should not miss the great opportunity to snap up some excellent used workbenches, lockers, tools, trolleys and related equipment.

You can find a full list of what is on offer on the Winterstein and Henderson website www.whauctions.com or feel free to join them for the viewing on the day prior to these two invaluable engineering auctions.

WH Auctions has its headquarters in Linbro Park, Sandton, but conducts auctions countrywide. They also offer support services including restructuring support, valuations and appraisals, and bond perfections. For more information you can visit their website www.whauctions.com or contact Shannon Winterstein on 084 520 5000 or Mathew Henderson on 084 252 5000.
