Milan, February 7th, 2012 - Local power provisioning specialist Powermode has joined forces with Siel Spa, a leading European manufacturer of high-end solar power invertors, in a joint venturedesigned to meet burgeoning demand for renewable energy in Africa.
In terms of the joint venture agreement, Powermode will distribute Siel’s SIAC range of solar invertors throughout Southern Africa.
The partnership will be officially launched at the Africa Power and Electricity Show at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg in March.
“The Siel UPS [uninterruptible power supply] range is well known and trusted in the South African market, so it’s a logical decision for us to offer Siel’s solar invertor range to customers in Africa,” says Jack Ward, Powermode CEO.
“The renewable energy industry is gaining momentum in Africa and we see significant value to be gained by transferring the skills and technical know-how from the experienced, Italian-headquartered Siel team to local specialists.”
Glauco Pensini, Siel’s director of worldwide sales, says Powermode has a proven track record in representing the Siel brand in South Africa. “We now look forward to the next phase of our relationship, using Powermode’s expertise to penetrate markets throughout the African continent under the banner of our new joint venture agreement.”
