Enterprise Mobility Forum  (0.10 MB)

The 2nd Enterprise Mobility Forum, to be staged at the Sandton Sun in Johannesburg from 29-30 May, will evaluate the impact of enterprise mobility, assess the trends and offer solutions. Possibly the most disruptive technology trend of the decade, enterprise mobility is impacting every enterprise, across all levels. With Juniper Research estimating that the amount of mobile data traffic generated by smartphones, feature phones and tablets will exceed 90,000 Petabytes by 2017, and CommScope’s Global Enterprise Survey finding that enterprise mobility and cloud services beat infrastructure intelligence, 40/100GbE and green power initiatives as the top challenges facing company networks around the world; enterprise mobility is clearly a big issue.

Enterprises are confronted with the challenge of balancing the risks and benefits of the mobile enterprise, the management headaches of the BYOD trend, and the cost and compliance issues associated with an increasingly mobile workforce. The 2nd Enterprise Mobility Forum will address these challenges, outlining solutions and strategies that will enable enterprise to maximise the potential of mobility. Speakers will also outline how ruggedized mobile devices and peripherals can take a functional office into the field.

Sponsored by platinum sponsor Samsung and gold sponsors Motorola Solutions; Psion; Blackberry; Dell; Honeywell; Nokia; Telkom and Zetes, the Enterprise Mobility Forum will bring together leading global solutions providers to discuss and debate key issues on driving operational efficiency through mobile technologies. Streams sponsored by Motorola Solutions, Westcon, BCX, Nokia, Dell, Samsung and Zetes will address key issues including: applications, data security and mobile computing to industry specific discussions and case studies on Africa, retail, government and transport and logistics.

The Enterprise Mobility Network advisory board, including Sharon Clancy - Editor-in-Chief - Enterprise Mobility Network,   Mike Butler, Director – Enterprise Mobility Network, Jonathan Cohen - General Manager - Ingram Micro Israel,  Larry Klimczyk – Independent Consultant,  Simon Gale - CTO - Workplace Services UKI – IBM and Dave Stark Independent Consultant, has assessed the biggest issues in the enterprise mobility arena today in order to compile an agenda designed to answer enterprises’ mobility questions.  Keynote speaker David Ives, Director for Karabina Solutions / IS Partners, says: “Mobility has enabled unprecedented levels of collaboration for the remote workforce. But extracting meaningful information from this collaboration and using it to drive business value requires effective strategic planning and the right tools.” Ives will outline how the smart implementation of well-planned enterprise mobility solutions is proving an essential tool for business survival and growth.

Also on the agenda are John Spreadborough – General Manager at Westcon Africa, Rob Monteith - CEO at UCS Technology Services, Llewllyn Chame –  Mobility Sales Specialist at Dell,  Gavin Jones – B2B Area Lead at Nokia, Daniel Dombach - Director EMEA Industry Solutions Group at Motorola Solutions, Alex Driesen - SVP Emerging Markets / Group Managing Director at Zetes, Jordi Soler Pla – Group Head of Application Development at Zetes and Paulo Ferreira – Head of Enterprise Mobility at Samsung SA.

The event will also see 6 lucky attendees winning the latest in Samsung mobile technology, including the new Samsung Galaxy S4, and will host the inaugural Enterprise Mobility Forum Awards, recognising outstanding practice in the area of enterprise mobility.
