Company Announcement: DSE Completes First Flue For Medupi Power Station

Attached please find a press release on: The Karrena-Concor Joint Venture awarded DSE the contract for the flues and platforms for the Medupi Power Station. This contract comprises some 1 800 tons of structural steel and 3 000 tons of plate work.

There are two 213 metre high chimneys each with three flues and the entire project has to be completed over the next two years. DSE was engaged with MM&G to undertake the site fabrication of the cans and the structural steelwork. This involves the on-site squaring and rolling of the plates for the can fabrication.
