A new range of double loop couplings engineered by ABP-Antriebstechnik GmbH are now available from Countapulse Controls. Designed to provide optimum flexibility, polyurethane has been used to manufacture the connecting elements and using these elements the couplings can equalise large radial, axial and angle offsets.

Another advantage is the above average electrical and thermal insulation incorporated in these ABP double loop couplings which allows the units to be used in applications with temperatures from minus 30°C to plus 80°C. The hubs are made of galvanised steel with fixtures that conform to DIN 916.

Four different overall lengths are available; 28 mm, 35 mm, 48 mm and 60 mm and bores can be supplied up to 19 mm in the largest version and up to 10 mm for the smallest coupling. Feather key grooves are also available, as are combinations of different bore diameters.

The ABP double loop couplings are suitable for various mechanical and mechatronic assemblies such as measurement drives and the drive of rotary position transducers and resolvers.

Countapulse Controls is the leading southern African supplier of sensing, measurement, counting, switching, monitoring and positioning instrumentation. The company has the full backing of its German principals and offers a complete technical advisory service for the most effective use of its products in automotive and other branches of engineering.
