South African physical asset management company Pragma and consulting engineering firm Aurecon have teamed up to deliver turnkey asset management solutions to the African market, including solutions for water and electricity service providers and municipalities, the companies say.

“We are now in a position to offer asset management solutions across the full life cycle of projects, from feasibility to acquisition, installation, operation and maintenance and, ultimately, decommissioning. This includes managing assets during operation and developing infrastructure asset management plans,” says Pragma Africa MD Alan Tait.

“Through the combination of the two companies’ proven methodologies and skills as well as experienced staff, the partnership will benefit both organisations’ clients, who can access a holistic services offering for their asset management needs, no matter how simple or complex their requirements. We are extremely excited about our agree- ment with Aurecon as it will enable us to offer cost-effective, efficient turnkey solutions,” he says.

“The service has the potential to add immense value to our clients’ projects. When delivered effectively, this service has the potential to ensure that assets deliver lasting benefits to all stakeholders, including the communities in which they are built,” says Aurecon Cape Town Environment & Advisory Services leader Chris von Holdt.

Aurecon provides engineering, management and specialist technical services to government and private-sector clients. With about 7 000 staff and over 80 offices worldwide, Aurecon has a presence in Australia, New Zealand, Africa, South-East Asia, China, and the Middle East.

Pragma is a global asset management solutions organisation, delivering training, consulting, tools and outsourced services to the asset-intensive industries, including mining, facilities, manufacturing and public sectors. Pragma has a presence in Africa, Brazil, China, Australia and Europe.
