Committed to supporting SMMEs in South Africa

The NDP is a plan for the whole country. Government needs to engage with all sectors to understand how they are contributing to implementation, and particularly to identify any obstacles to fulfilling their role effectively. The plan sets out ambitious goals for poverty reduction, economic growth, economic transformation and job creation. The private sector has a major role to play in achieving these objectives.
While tabling her Budget Vote Speech in May this year, Small Business Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu said that hundreds of small businesses had received financial and non-financial support through several incentives over the past financial year - but where to from here?
According to the 2016 National Small Business Survey released by the National Small Business Chamber (NSBC), marketing continues to be the dominating concern for most small businesses in South Africa along with a lack of funding, insufficient cash flow, poor sales as well as competition from large businesses.
We invite you to join Xolani Qubeka, CEO, Small Business Development Institute, who, amongst others, at the Vision 2030 Summit being held from 21-22 June 2017 in Johannesburg, will be addressing the hot topic of supporting SMMEs in South Africa and how the public and private sector can work together to make the goals of the National Development Plan a reality.
Qubeka will be joined by other top industry figures to address the elimination of poverty and reduction of inequality by the year 2030.
The third annual Vision 2030 Summit, being held from 21-22 June at Johannesburg’s Birchwood Hotel, will address all issues relating to the National Development Plan - and how you, as an ordinary South African, can join our leaders, in both government and the private sector, in driving economic acceleration and transformation in line with the National Development Plan.
