Clover’s Botha to step down as FD in Jan, Bosch named as successor
JSE-listed Clover’s FD, Louis Jacques Botha, will resign from the dairy products producer effective January 2, 2016, for personal reasons and to spend more time with his family.
Botha had been with Clover since 2006 when he was appointed the corporate development executive and played an instrumental role in formulating and establishing Clover’s unique milk procurement system, the company noted in a a statement on Monday. In 2007, he was appointed Clover’s FD.
“Jacques also played an instrumental role in negotiations and events that culminated in our successful listing on the JSE on December 14, 2010. Since our listing, Jacques and his team have won the coveted Investment Analyst Society’s award for excellence in reporting for three consecutive years,” Clover highlighted.
Botha would be succeeded as FD by Clover’s executive in business development, risk and Africa, Elton Ronald Bosch, with effect from January 2, 2016.
Prior to joining Clover in June 2012, Bosch was a partner at advisory firm Deloitte. He had also been the regional leader responsible for the Deloitte Risk Advisory division in Pretoria.
He currently held a BCom honours degree and chartered accountant qualification, was registered with the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and had been a member of SAICA’s Accounting Practice Committee.
Bosch had gained extensive experience in the private and public sectors across a range of services within the auditing and accounting profession. “He has also been extensively involved in scientific research at the Council for Science and Industrial Research and the Agricultural Research Centre on a host of issues confronting the South African economy, including agricultural reform,” Clover added.
The company believed that as Bosch had served on its executive committee for the last three years and was responsible for its Integrated Report, he would comfortably fill the role of FD.
