Electronic products manufacturer Wago has introduced a real-time clock module.
The 750-640 real-time clock (RTC) module provides higher- level control systems with the actual time and is compatible with all Wago 750/753 Series fieldbus nodes.
Given the international uses of the Wago input/output (I/O) system, the RTC module may be adjusted to the DCF77 radio frequency, for Central European Time and European Summer Time, the MSF radio frequency for the UK, as well as a WWVB time signal for North America. The RTC module also offers users the option of connectivity to an external antenna for oper- ation, if desired. The module buffers time and can continue to run for up to six hours in the event of a power outage.
The 750-640 RTC module features a scheduler that allows for time-triggered actions of 32 channels, and a counter measures the power-on time of each channel. Besides timekeeping, the 750-640 RTC module saves programming time and optional function blocks make system programming faster.
