South Africa’s third-largest mobile operator has moved to improve its quality of service to its 16-million customers through the deployment of CommProve's network management solution across its network by year-end.

CommProve on Tuesday said in a statement that the new product roll-out would extend the capabilities of Cell C's existing solution to provide IuB interface monitoring and radio access network (Ran) insight and enable efficient 24/7 network monitoring.

“This will provide Cell C with a proactive solution and a troubleshooting tool, with a complete end-to-end view of key performance indicators, key quality indicators and user behaviour," CommProve territory director Darren Harding explained.

The CommProve IuB monitoring deployment would provide a first level of root cause analysis for solving radio-related failures, while analysing the details of the individual users under analysis during the activity period monitored.
