The country’s largest brewer, SAB, recently announced that it would invest R2.8-billion to expand two of its Gauteng breweries: Alrode, in the south of Johannesburg, where this picture was taken, and Rosslyn, outside Pretoria. SAB and AB-InBev Zone president for Africa Ricardo Tadeu said the expansions would include a new packaging line for returnable glass bottles at both breweries and a brewhouse at Rosslyn. The investments would create up to 70 additional full-time jobs.
