Gauteng-based Blue Strata is a turnkey import and working capital specialist that integrates the physical and financial supply chains of the import process by managing not only the physical movement of goods but also the foreign exchange, finance and product costing, providing its clients with a seamless import solution.

The company, the offices of which are in Sandton, north of the Johannesburg central business district, has been in operation for more than a decade and, through its patented one-point-of-contact solution, facilitates services from order placement to confirmation and tracking, the hedging of foreign exchange risk and the management of import logistics. In addition to daily interaction, clients can also opt for full visibility of their entire financial and product supply chain through the BlueLink online portal.

Blue Strata is a broad-based black-economic-empowerment-accredited supplier that employs 115 people. It was founded in 2002 by CEO Adam Orlin, pictured. The company is 48.5%-owned by Investec Bank.
