Location
The production plant will be located adjacent to the Bergene Holm sawmill in Åmli, in southern Norway.

Client
Biozin Holding is owned by Biozin, a subsidiary of the Norwegian sawmill company Bergene Holm. Biozin and the Swedish oil company Preem have entered into a cooperation agreement to complete a full-scale biozin production plant adjacent to the Bergene Holm sawmill

Project Description
The project entails the construction of a plant that will convert biomass to liquid biocrude, which will be sold and further processed into transportation fuels in oil refineries.

The plant will use about 700 000 m3 of feedstock and produce 120 000 m3 biozin.

The project is estimated at NKr3.5-billion.

The work is scheduled to be undertaken between 2018 and 2020.

Biozin has awarded Pöyry the owner’s engineering services contract for the pre-engineering phase of the planned biozin production plant.
