The complex is a centuries-old monument, which is owned by the Central Government Real Estate Agency and is still in service.

Project Description
The Binnenhof complex – which is home to the Dutch Senate, House of Representatives, Council of State and Ministry of General Affairs – after a period of intensive use, requires large-scale renovation to ensure the safety of employees and visitors to the complex.

The renovation is necessary to restore major technical and structural defects, including defects in safety, wood rot, leaking roofs, technical installations (climate, elevators), ICT, security and health.
In addition, improvements will be made to the entrances, kitchens and restaurants, among others.

Duration
The renovation, which will take five to six years, will start in 2020.
