Bidvest Facilities Management provides a range of customised and end-to-end integrated facilities management services for the industrial, engineering, fast-moving consumer goods, retail, property, telecommunications and other sectors throughout South Africa.

The 1 300-employeee company, which is part of the Bidvest group and has its headquarters in Centurion, near Pretoria, as well as 39 offices countrywide, is Southern Africa’s largest facilities management solutions provider. It provides services for 50 000 buildings covering 3.6-million square metres of space throughout South Africa.

The company’s total integrated facilities management solutions include facilities solutions, engineering maintenance, property management and professional services, which can be tailored to customer needs.

Bidvest Facilities Management also provides focused solutions, including mobile generators, even in remote areas; an accredited technical training centre for clients’ facilities staff and members of the public; an outsourced administrative service with end-to-end financial management of large-volume utilities billing; maintenance and servicing of telecommunication facilities; integrity inspection of structures such as billboards, masts and towers; and basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general building maintenance on a scheduled contract or planned project basis.

Founded in 2000, the company was known as Total Facilities Management Company until a name change last month, in line with the parent company’s drive to grow and position the services division of the business.

A Level 2 broad-based black economic-empowerment business, Bidvest Facilities Management is a leader in applying environmental and sustainability strategies. It is one of very few facilities management companies in the world with ISO three-system certification: ISO 9001, for quality management; OHSAS 18001, for health and safety management; and ISO 14001, for environmental management.
