Property Point, the award-winning enterprise and supplier development initiative founded by Growthpoint Properties, is giving leadership in South Africa a massive boost. Together with the John Maxwell Leadership Group, Property Point is bringing Live2Lead, the leadership event of the year, to Joburg this October. As one of the 400 international hosts across the globe simulcasting this leadership development experience live from Atlanta, USA, Property Point is giving local business leaders the chance to join the best-of-the-best from around the world.

Property Point Live2Lead creates a unique opportunity to learn from world-class leadership experts.

Bestselling author and coach Dr John Maxwell will headline the event, which includes a compelling line-up of top international speakers including CEO of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy; author and leadership authority, Simon Sinek; and President of the Wiseman Group, Liz Wiseman.

The half-day leadership gathering is designed to equip business professionals with new perspectives, practical tools and key takeaways. Property Point Live2Lead helps business leaders design and implement a new action plan and lead with renewed passion and commitment.

Shawn Theunissen, Head of Property Point and Head of CSR at Growthpoint Properties, believes Property Point Live2Lead will provide unique insights and meaningful networking opportunities to those who attend.

“Open to all local leaders, Property Point Live2Lead is perfect for those looking to learn new ways of conquering their current business challenges,” says Theunissen.

He adds: “Through this unique event, we hope to inspire and educate on what leadership truly means, driving entrepreneurship and small business development with expert advice on how to realise your own full potential.”

Key lessons provided by the simulcast will prove invaluable and include developing personal growth and creating an ideal environment for employees to thrive.

Property Point Live2Lead takes place from 8am to 2pm, on Thursday, 27 October 2016, at Ster Kinekor, The Zone, Rosebank. Places are limited and tickets options are available at quicket.co.za.

Founded in 2008, almost 114 SMEs have participated in Property Point’s two-year incubation programme so far. Provided for entrepreneurs operating within South Africa’s property sector, the programme is designed to arm these entrepreneurs with the necessary skills, coaching and personal development they need to grow their businesses.

The programme has so far generated over R453 million in procurement opportunities for these SMEs, assisting participating enterprises in achieving a reported revenue growth of 76%, with over 1,309 jobs created so far.

Alongside its partners, like Growthpoint and Attacq Limited, Property Point believes strong leadership is a necessary foundation on which sustainable enterprises should be built.

“Property Point is proud of what we have achieved alongside the dynamic entrepreneurs who have passed through our doors. We have put every effort into assisting them with the growth of their SMEs, turning them into sustainable businesses and contributing to job creation in the country. The Property Point Live2 Lead simulcast allows us to reach even more business leaders, providing them with a front row seat to business experts from across the globe and allowing them to learn new things, in a very new and exciting way,” says Theunissen.
